Welcome to a kite school designed for those who expect more than just lessons — a refined, personal experience shaped around you. Founded and run by a husband-and-wife team whose lives revolve around the rhythm of the wind, we offer bespoke kiteboarding instruction that blends technical mastery with a mindful, health-driven lifestyle.
Led by a BKSA Senior Certified Instructor with extensive international experience, our teaching combines world-class expertise with an intuitive, supportive approach. Using radio communication, your instructor is always connected to you on the water — offering clear guidance, instant feedback, and continuous reassurance as you progress.
Every session is tailored, whether you are stepping into the water for the first time or learning to jump.
Our philosophy goes beyond kiting. It is about stepping outside your day to day life. Learning something new. Connecting to nature.
This is not just where you learn to kite. It is where you redefine how you experience it.
Whether you have never touched a kite or you are chasing your first jump or trick — we will get you there faster, safer, and with a whole lot more fun.
We also offer a chaperoning service where someone will keep an eye on you and help launch and land, including walking back up the beach with you if you are not yet riding upwind.
20% off if you have your own gear. Lessons also include refreshments.
Two hour lesson for complete beginners — safety, setup, kite control, and progression at your pace.
Two hours of coaching to build on what you have already learned and lock in the next step.
You can ride and have your own gear, but need someone to keep an eye on you — launch and land help, and walking back up the beach when you are not yet riding upwind.
Here is a very rough guide as to what to expect from your kitesurfing training — we go at your pace and once a step is mastered we move on to the next. Some take longer than others.
How to harness it, what factors we need to know to fly kites.
Identifying hazards and where to kitesurf and where and when not to.
How to set up your gear and safety systems.
Controlling the kite and how to recover from crashing.
Learn how the kite can pull us and have fun body dragging.
Once you can control your kite and generate power you will be introduced to the board and learn how to get out of the water and make your first starts.
Make your first rides on the board once you can consistently get up on to the board.
How to ride back to where you started, not simply going with the wind.
Turn on the board without sinking.
Riding on the toe side of the board.
Now the hang time fun starts — how to get airborne and land.
Our primary location is Winchelsea beach; however we can be flexible around the East Sussex coast.
The beach offers wide open space, consistent wind, and shallow sections that are ideal for safe progression.
We choose the exact teaching area based on the daily forecast, tide, and your current level so every session is as smooth and safe as possible.
Book a sessionNo! Kitesurfing is an extreme sport and has a high risk of injury if not done correctly.
After around 10 hours you will be able to stand on the board and make the first short rides. However this is only an indication and it is different for everybody. People with other water sports backgrounds or snowboarding knowledge might progress faster than someone without that kind of experience.
You will need to be able to ride some distance in both directions and able to stop, all safely and in control. This generally takes about 20 hours of lessons. We offer a chaperone service which can assist when you launch, land, and walk back upwind.
Yes, this is certainly possible but please check with us as we will need to ensure it is suitable and safe. We are always happy to give you advice when buying any equipment.
Kitesurfing is not a cheap sport but once you have gear it is totally free, as long as the wind blows. You will be looking at around £2500 to £3000 for all the gear new, from wetsuit and harness to two kites and a bar. A normal kite quiver or set contains two to three kites. We are happy to help and provide you with a list of United Kingdom based kite shops.
Due to hygiene reasons we do not provide wetsuits, gloves or boots. We will provide you with the advice and information where to find items you need. We wear O’Neill wetsuits which is a high end product but one of the best on the market. They feel like a second skin.
Aside from a wetsuit, we provide everything you need to learn safely. Including some refreshments for after a stoke filled session.
Yes, as long as you have had your doctor approve this.
If you cancel within 24 hours an admin fee of £25 will be deducted from your deposit.
Flip flops or Crocs and anything to change into or out of your wetsuit. Do not forget a towel or dryrobe either.
On a lesson with us, no. If you are riding on your own you will need third party liability insurance which is included in BKSA membership.
Ready to book or just have questions? Fill in the form and we will get back to you within 24 hours — usually sooner.
